How to register as an educational institution for a free Environment for Revit® license?
To register as an educational institution for a free Environment for Revit® license, you can visit this link.
Please ensure that you include any English-language documentation verifying that you are applying on behalf of the university. Once registered, the university will receive a multi-user license for Environment, which can be installed on on-campus computers for one year. This license can be extended every year through the Environment tab in Revit. Additionally, the university will receive an invite code for its students, who can then use the code on our student license registration page to obtain a license key for the entire duration of their studies. It’s a great opportunity for educational institutions and students to access our software for free!
What educational institutions are eligible for free licenses? And do I have to be registered in one of them to get the free license?
To be eligible for a free Environment for Revit® license as a student, your university or educational institution must be registered in our system. Please contact your dean’s office or Revit teacher (if available) to obtain an invite code. If they do not have one, they can register on our website as an educational institution.
If you are not currently enrolled in an eligible institution, you can still access the software through our free trial. However, to obtain a more prolonged student license, you must be registered with an eligible institution.
Please note that you can only obtain an educational license once and it cannot be extended or requested again, so it’s essential to start by speaking to your dean. If your institution is not registered, you can contact us to learn more about eligibility requirements.
What is an Invite Code for a student license and how to use it?
An invite code is a unique code issued by Environment for Revit® to educational institutions, allowing students to use the software for free during their studies. To access the license, students must enter the invite code on the student license registration page on our website.
Only educational institutions registered in the system can issue the invite code.
Please note- the Invite Code is unique per user and per machine, and not transferable!
