The Environment plugin offers 4 standard licensing plans, which are all annual subscriptions:

• Individual License: Designed for individuals and small practices, this license can be installed on up to 5 different devices.
• Individual Plus License: Ideal for small offices with less frequent use, this license can be shared by multiple users on any number of computers.
• Business License: Suitable for small to medium-sized firms, this plan includes 3 to 9 Individual licenses and access to a license management portal.
• Corporate License: Built for larger organizations, this plan is identical to the Business plan but offers a reduced cost per seat and is automatically upgraded to once a company reaches 10 seats.

Absolutely! When you buy an annual subscription to the Environment plugin, you get all the latest updates and bug fixes throughout that period, including awesome new features, performance enhancements, and smooth bug fixes!

Although a classic floating license is not offered, the Individual Plus plan is an alternative option. This license allows for installation on multiple computers using the same login credentials, and the ability to transfer the license between machines with ease. However, the license is limited to use on only one machine at a time, and transferring the license to another machine will terminate the initial user’s access.

Yes, with a Business or Corporate plan, you can manage multiple seats via one email address in our license management portal. You can assign seats to employees using individual emails, or assign multiple seats to a single email if you prefer. Keep in mind that each seat can only be used on one device at a time, regardless of the email address associated with it.

If you’ve finished your free trial and want to purchase a license, there are a few ways to do so.
You can visit our website and purchase a license directly, or you can reach out to your local reseller to make a purchase. Additionally, you can purchase a license from within Revit itself. To do this, go to the Environment tab in the top ribbon and click on General Description. In the General Description window, click on “Change license” or “Extend license” to purchase a new license.

Begin by downloading and installing Revit on your computer. You can download Environment by clicking on the “Free Trial“. Once you have downloaded and installed the software, open Revit and go to the Environment tab in the top ribbon. Click on “General Description” and then select “Change license”. Copy the license key from the email you received after purchasing, paste it into the appropriate field, and click “Apply”. Finally, reboot Revit to ensure that the changes take effect.

Yes! We do offer a free trial of Environment with full functionality for users to evaluate. The trial version is time-limited but includes all features found in the paid version.
However, the trial version has a limitation compared to the paid version of the plugin: the trial version is bound to the hardware and can be installed on a PC just once! If the trial version already had been installed on a PC earlier, it’s impossible to install the plugin again.

If you did not receive a confirmation email after purchasing a license, the first step is to check your spam folder. If you still cannot find the confirmation email, there are two options:

Once you have the appropriate license, you can install the software on multiple devices and activate it using the same license key that you received with your purchase. Keep in mind that the number of devices you can activate with a single license depends on the plan you have purchased.

The Environment plugin automatically loads when you open Revit®, and usually, all of Environment’s tools are immediately available for use. For most licenses, if your license key is already in use on a certain machine (i.e., Revit® is open on this machine), Environment’s tools will be disabled and you will need to log out of the first machine to access Environment on another machine.

However, in the case of an Individual Plus license, if the license is already in use on another machine, Environment’s tools will be disabled, but the Access Control button will be displayed. By clicking this button, you can see who is currently using the plugin and kick them out, allowing you to continue working on your machine. Once you kick someone out, they will have their Environment tab disabled and can kick you out if they try to use the plugin again. There is no limit to how many times this can be done during a Revit session. This solution is ideal for very small offices or architects who do not need constant access to the plugin.

For larger practices, we recommend considering our corporate license. Our plugin is not the main program, so we cannot make decisions about whether you can work with it or not when starting Revit. Therefore, we allow everyone to see the plugin tools available from the beginning.

If you have a student license, locate the original email with your license key and follow the link provided to unbind your old computer. Keep in mind that this action is irreversible, and the old computer will no longer be able to use the student license.
If you have a regular license, start by downloading and installing Environment on your new computer. Then, open Revit and go to the Environment tab. In the “General Description” window, enter your license key to activate the software on your new computer. You can use your license on up to five computers simultaneously, but you may need to reboot your system more than once to complete the transfer.
Please note that every six months, Environment will remove an unused computer from the list of activated devices.

To retrieve your license key, go to the Environment tab in the Revit ribbon and click on “General Description.” From there, select “Change License” and then click on “I Forgot My License Key.” You will receive an email containing your license key at the email address you used during registration.

If you forget your license key, you can only retrieve it via the email address used during the purchase. Additionally, any important updates will be sent to the email address provided during purchase.

If you purchase directly through our website, you can pay with PayPal or with a credit card through the PayPal interface, without having to create a PayPal account.
A bank transfer is also an option- you will need to receive a proforma invoice first.
After payment is received, you will get a receipt and licenses key to your email.

You have 3 easy options to renew your license with Environment:
1. Contact your reseller, if applicable, to renew your license
2. Go to ‘License Renewal‘ page, and follow the instructions on that page (Please use the same email address you used for your user)
3. In Environment for Revit ribbon (in Revit) click on the ‘General Descriptions‘ button>’Extend License’ and follow the on-screen instructions

Sure! Business licenses allow you to transfer licenses to new employees when someone leaves your company. There is no limit to the number of transfers you can perform within your total license pool.

Here’s how to transfer a Business License to a new employee:

1. Access the Corporate Access Panel: You can reach this panel by clicking here or directly accessing www.environment-sales.com
2. Locate the desired license: Once logged in, navigate to the license management section. You can find the specific license by searching for the departing employee’s email address.
3. Deactivate the license: Click the “Delete” option associated with the license you want to transfer. This will free up the license and update your available license count at the top of the page.
Important! Deleting a license renders the existing key invalid.
4. Assign a new license: With a license available, use the “Assign New User” button located at the top right corner. This will generate a new license key and send it directly to the new employee’s email address.
